Davenport Consulting Group is actively seeking a seasoned draftsman to join our dynamic team at our Daytona Beach office. As a seasoned draftsman, you will play a crucial role in our architectural and engineering projects, translating concepts and ideas into precise technical drawings. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in CADD systems will be vital to our success.
Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design: Create both rough sketches and detailed technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems. These drawings will serve as the foundation for our architectural and engineering projects.

Material and Weight Calculations: Perform calculations related to materials and weight limitations, ensuring that designs adhere to safety and structural requirements.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with architects and engineers to understand project specifications and incorporate technical knowledge into your drawings. Effective communication and teamwork are essential.

Review and Redraft: Work alongside the engineering team to prepare, review, and redraft drawings as necessary. Ensure that all drawings meet quality standards and project requirements.

INTERNSHIP POSITIONS OPEN

Davenport Consulting Group is actively seeking interns to join our team. As an Intern at our architectural firm, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team engaged in architectural design across various phases of concurrent projects. Throughout your internship, you will work under the direct guidance of senior architectural designers, focusing on specific design and technical documentation tasks that contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Your responsibilities as an Intern with Davenport Consulting Group will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in the design and specification of project-appropriate architectural requirements.

Coordinating your designs with those of other team members.

Engaging in CADD
-
Engaging in Revit modeling and detailing.

Preparing narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, presentation renders, drawings, and specification documents while adhering to high-quality standards and considering project schedules and budget constraints.

Collaborating in cross-discipline discussions and coordination efforts.
Qualifications for this internship position:

Pursuing a degree in Architecture from an ABET-accredited program.

Have basic knowledge of CADD (computer-aided design)

Proficiency with computer software, including REVIT, is preferred.

Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills, along with knowledge of other building systems.

A positive attitude and a commitment to being an active participant within a multi-discipline team.

Involvement in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community, with demonstrated leadership skills, is a plus.
